AKN’s construction project managers will follow a comprehensive plan to ensure project success. The following of a construction project involves several steps that must be carefully planned and executed to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards. These key steps will be completed during a construction project: Project planning: Before beginning any construction work, the project will be planned carefully. AKN will create a detailed project schedule, identifying the necessary resources, and defining the project scope. Site preparation: Once the planning is done AKN will prepare the construction site. This will include clearing the site, grading the land, and installing any necessary infrastructure, such as utilities or roadways. Foundation and structure: The Foundation and structures of the building are formed. This will precede the construction of the walls and roof and installing windows and doors. Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC: Once the structure is in place, any electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems will be installed. This includes running wires and pipes, installing fixtures, and connecting heating and cooling systems. Finishing work: After the major systems are installed, the finishing work can begin. This includes painting, installing flooring, and finishing the walls and ceilings. Inspection and testing: Before the project can be considered complete, it must undergo inspection and testing. This ensures that the building is up to code and that all systems are working correctly.
Snagging and final touches: After inspection and testing are complete, any necessary repairs or adjustments must be made. This is known as the snagging list. Once the snagging list is complete, the final touches can be added, such as landscaping or signage. Handover and closeout: AKN will hand over the completed project to the client and closeout the project. AKN prepares the final documentation, and financial reconciliation, and concludes any necessary training or support.
