Consultation

During the consultation phase of construction AKN will be integral in the process of gathering and sharing information, exchanging ideas and opinions, and obtaining feedback from various stakeholders involved in the construction project. The stakeholders may include the project owner, architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, government officials, and other interested parties. During the consultation phase, AKN will collaborate to establish project objectives, define the scope of work, develop a budget, and create a project schedule. We will also discuss and assess potential risks, identify areas where value engineering could be applied, and explore alternative solutions to design or construction challenges. Effective consultation will ensure that the project is feasible, meets the needs and expectations of all stakeholders, and complies with relevant regulations and standards. It will help to prevent delays, cost overruns, and disputes during the construction process.AKN will conduct the consultation phase as a critical stage of construction that will lay the foundation for a successful project outcome.

Project Planning

Construction project planning is the process of defining the project scope, objectives, and deliverables, as well as identifying the tasks, resources, and timelines required to complete the project successfully.AKN’s effective project planning is will ensure that a construction project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The key steps AKN will be involved with in construction project planning are: Assistance in defining project objectives and scope: This is the first step in planning a construction project, clearly defining the project objectives, scope, and deliverables. AKN will assist in identifying the purpose of the project, the stakeholders involved, and the expected outcomes. Identify project tasks: AKN will identify all the tasks required to complete the project, such as site preparation, excavation, building construction, and finishing work. These tasks will be broken down into smaller, manageable steps to create clear planning and scheduling. Develop a project schedule: Once all the tasks have been identified, AKN will produce the project schedule. This will include timelines for each task, taking into account any dependencies and constraints.

Completion

AKN’s construction project managers will follow a comprehensive plan to ensure project success. This will include clearing the site, grading the land, and installing any necessary infrastructure, such as utilities or roadways. Foundation and structure: The Foundation and structures of the building are formed. This will precede the construction of the walls and roof and installing windows and doors. Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC: Once the structure is in place, any electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems will be installed. This includes running wires and pipes, installing fixtures, and connecting heating and cooling systems. Finishing work: After the major systems are installed, the finishing work can begin. This includes painting, installing flooring, and finishing the walls and ceilings. Inspection and testing: Before the project can be considered complete, it must undergo inspection and testing. This ensures that the building is up to code and that all systems are working correctly.

Handover

At handover, AKN transfers the completed construction project from the construction team to the owner or client. The handover process involves a series of steps and documentation to ensure that the project is completed to the satisfaction of the client and that all necessary information, such as plans and manuals, are provided. AKN will aid in the following: Conducting inspections: This involves conducting inspections to ensure that the completed work meets the required standards and that all necessary approvals and certifications have been obtained. Preparing documentation: This involves preparing all the necessary documentation, such as operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and guarantees. Training the client: This involves training the client on the operation and maintenance of the completed project and its systems.Conducting a final walkthrough: This involves conducting a final walkthrough of the completed project with the client to ensure that they are satisfied with the work.Handover of the project: This involves formally handing over the completed project to the client and providing them with all the necessary documentation and information.

Snagging and final touches: After inspection and testing are complete, any necessary repairs or adjustments must be made. This is known as the snagging list.
